Working meeting with the Ethiopian Traffic Police Commission on the development of road safety education and prevention programs
As part of its strategic focus on road safety education and prevention, the Association of Foreign Employees in Romania (AASR) held an official working meeting with representatives of the Ethiopian Traffic Police Commission, at the institution’s headquarters in Addis Ababa.

The meeting aimed to explore potential areas of cooperation in the fields of road safety education, accident prevention and civic responsibility, with particular emphasis on adapting training and awareness programs for Ethiopian citizens living and working in Romania.

The discussions focused on:
- the development of road safety education and prevention programs;
- the exchange of best practices related to traffic safety;
- civic education and awareness for foreign workers’ communities;
- the creation of educational materials adapted to a multicultural context.
Following this institutional initiative:
- a framework for educational cooperation was agreed upon;
- a Memorandum of Understanding was drafted;
- the document is currently undergoing procedural validation in accordance with the applicable legal framework.
This initiative aligns with AASR’s objectives to actively contribute to public safety and to the responsible integration of foreign workers, through cooperation with relevant public institutions and international institutional partners.
Road safety education and prevention are essential pillars of public safety and sustainable integration, and AASR will continue to develop such initiatives within a transparent, responsible and institutionally sound framework.
AASR remains open to institutional dialogue and cooperation initiatives aimed at strengthening road safety education, prevention and responsible integration, in collaboration with relevant public authorities and international partners.
