Romania–Ethiopia Economic Cooperation Program
Romania and Ethiopia are entering a new stage of institutional and economic cooperation, supported by coordinated initiatives between AASR, CCIB, ECCSA and governmental partners. This program provides a stable framework for trade, investment and long-term collaboration.

Institutional Framework

The cooperation program is built on strong institutional partnerships:
- Memorandum of Understanding with the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA)
- Co-organization of the Romania–Ethiopia Economic Briefing together with the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB)
- Direct collaboration with Ethiopian governmental institutions in trade, investment, technology and workforce development
- Preparation of joint initiatives for 2025–2026, including participation at international fairs and bilateral economic missions
Economic Briefing – 10 December 2025
AASR participated as institutional co-organizer in the Economic Briefing hosted by CCIB, attended by:
- H.E. Tsegab Kebebew Daka – Ambassador of Ethiopia
- Representatives of the Ethiopian Mission in Geneva
- Romanian ministries (MEDAT, ARICE)
- Companies from agriculture, logistics, technology, textiles, energy, tourism
- CCIB leadership and members of the Romanian business community
The event strengthened the official cooperation channel between Romania and Ethiopia and validated AASR as an institutional connector facilitating bilateral dialogue.
